In this measurement of the Basque Country’s street use of Basque the information gathered on Araba (Alava) offers us many salient points. What has to be taken into account is the trend or direction of the data during this interval of time between 1989 and 2006, rather than the minor details and specific variations between one measurement and the next. That having been done, the data for 2006 offer more hope that those of previous measurements, and even though the revival of our language still gives us many causes for concern, the results of the efforts made have begun to emerge.
